end of 2006

my last post of 2006...here it goes.

as the year comes to an end, i sit here in front of my com, trying to think through the things i have been through. be it good or bad events that race through my mind like a uncontrollable stampede, it is good to reflect on it before i finally let most of them go...

as those in csc dealers team might have heard from me, going to csc might have been the only really good thing that happened to me this year. lucky me, the dealers team only had 5 people, including me. we went through a fair bit of ups and down together. this made our friendship links even stronger.

another good thing that has happened to me might have been my old friend randy coming back into my life again after loosening his bonds from the army. come to think of it, i went out with him just yesteday to vivocity after my haircut. hmmm he got pretty addicted to the arcade there, and dragged me along haha. i just say though, having lost my interest in arcades for so long, going to the one at vivo was a completely new experience for me. it was quite fun though cos he knew more games there and intorduced me to a few new games. however, i still think i aint going to any arcade anytime soon cos it just isnt my type haha.

i dun wanna bring up any bad incidents here in this blog. every one of these incidents lead to people i am hardly even close to to become even more distant from me, or what most people would call...enemies. actually, i have already come to forget most of the things done against me, but then again in spore, grudges are held and never forgotten. sad...oh well nvm i shall not dwell on such things for too long, not bad for health =)

well, there goes my last post for 2006, good riddence 2006!! be gone...forever~~~

christmas and boxing day

christmas day spend so much money, boxing day also spend so much money...haiyo!! very soon no money left to eat liao, better start saving up or start goin to work again hmpf.

2 days ago, on christmas day, i went with an old friend of mine to watch death note 2 then we went shopping ard for stuff...the movie was interesting, like watching ppl play chess with living pieces. we found bags from converse and bags from addidas within our budget of $50 =) somehow, addidas bags goin for less than $70 made me suspicious of the quality, whereas bags from converse in that price range was acceptable cos most of their items are in that range also.

now i shall talk abt ytd, boxing day. seemed like another ordinary day when we went for lessons, albeit a rather meaningless one. then on my way to the mrt station, i met ee boon and the gang, who were on the way back from bishan to play pool at grassroots. so even though i was wearing glasses, my hands told me to just go on ahead. the cloth at grassroots were changed, so we had new cloth to play with. however, it just could not compare to the ones at parkway or toa payoh. playing with glasses on wasnt all that bad, but it took awhile to get used to though. the ball wasnt that blur cos my vision isnt that bad w/o glasses on, it just wasnt perfect as with lenses. but hey i could still play well w/o them on. and at the end of it all, it cost $7 per person -.-' we played for abt 3hrs i think...i completely lost track of time.

oh well, wats done is done, just be more prepared next time, and go to work more often. till nxt time, its time to sleep =)

tennis gathering

aiyayayaya...today spend so much money ar...one meal $12 liao -.-' then return jq another $10 plus some lose change to buy some stuff along the way at subway, wah save so much money this week all gone sia T.T

haiz so this is how it went...
we met at harbourfront mrt station and as usual, even though i was late, chubby was even later...wahahaha okok so then we went for dinner at secret recipe. this dinner cost me $12 sia, and then the skin so tough kaoz, but the filling inside was delicous, but still i dun think was worth paying $12 for. after that, we went shopping ard vivocity and decided to go to orchard after donna, samantha, rizal and shichin left. it was now guys night out.

on the way out of harbourfront, we stopped at subway to grab a bite. only spenser and i ate brownies while the rest ate cookies. damn should have eaten the cookies instead, their brownies cant even compare to those in school.

oh well, we stopped at lucky plaza to start our walk. we walked in hmv, cineleisure and paragon. that si chubby lookin for expensive stuff sia...1st shop we step into was ralf lauren where all price tags have at least 3 digits in front of the decimal place. kaoz damn ex lar. for the most part of our shopping, the prices were rather reasonable though, just that once in awhile we would step into a high end shop and spenser and i would be super demoralized -.-'

ok so now back home and tired, it is time to rest nitez all...

nicholas bdae

hmmm ok better pen this down before it slips outta my memory...this happened ytd...eh wait 2 days ago lolz ya 2 days ago. it was nicholas bdae!! having a bdae fall on dec 21, i can call him christmas child haha. oh well...here's wat happened...

we planned to meet at newton mrt for his mom to fetch us(his 2 siblings, a primary school friend of his called ryan which i rmb seeing only once in our yearbook, and me) to cineleisure to catch a movie. well, we had a quick meal at bk before the movie though. guess the title of the movie............... "Night at the Museum"!!!!! man it was fun. nvr seen so nice a movie in such a long time. comedy and action concorted together to give u a spectacular formula for a movie! ahem ahem ok enuf free publicity for the movie...where was i now...

oh ya after the movie we went to marina bay to play bowling. when we reached there, all the lanes were fully booked, so we decided to go play pool while waiting for some lanes to be cleared. needless to say, nicholas' little sis could not come along cos she was not 16 yet. so she went with her mom to shop around while waiting for the lanes to clear up. i made yet another amazing jump ball, but it cost me to lose the game though...i jump to hit the 8-ball but didnt think it would really go anywhere, then so tyco it went the length of the table 2 times and entered a pocket...waaa so tyco but we lost -.-" after that was bowling...we played 2 games, 1st of which i won, and the 2nd by ryan.

after bowling, we went to this "fine dining restaurant" called bistro in suntec city. when we tried to enter, they told us that they did not allow round-necks inside the restaurant...i was like o.o?? no1 said anythin abt that, then they continued by saying that they had shirts that we could rent, phew.... then nicholas mother started lecturing the manager about how the person she called to book a table did not tell her that they had to wear collared shirts or t-shirts...diao lolz

dinner was sumptuous!!! i had indo-chine spring chicken, it was priced at 13.90++ i think subject to 5+5% tax. but they gave alot more than wat i had at kenny rogers, and alot tastier too. furthermore, i think nicholas father ordered wine to be served. it was a cabernet sauvignon. tasted quite alright to me, but then again, reds are not really my type, just that they go better with meat than whites do. i still prefer whites though. we celebrated his cake cutting there as well, after everyone was done with their food that is. it was a toffee cake his mom bought at the hans in marina.

we went back to nicholas place after dinner to play one round of...wat was that game again?? hmmm i forgot alr hehe...oh well, to think i would have spent wat hard earned cash i saved up this week in just that one day, but guess wat?? i didnt spend a single cent!! his parents bao ka liao the whole day! make me feel so bad that ryan and i went there empty handed lolz...his dad fetched me home at ard midnite and nicholas tagged along to send me off. and so ended my long day with nicholas on his bdae...if u r reading this nicholas then sry i cant attend ur 3-in-1 celebration on 24th cos i will be busy runnin around town hehe maybe nxt time i give u a very belated bdae present =)

vivocity

my 1st visit to vivocity did not really leave much of an impression on me as i thought it would. while the concept was new, it looked rather similar to other shopping complexes i see around spore. oh well, maybe i didnt really pay much attention to other details that i should have taken notice of, but then again thats juz me +) hmmm met christina there though...but somehow my neighbours saw me but i didnt see them...wierd where could they have saw me huh o.o???

watched eragon today with nemo, db, estel, and the new cpl. here's my 2 cents worth on the movie: while the storyline was ok, those looking for action-packed scenes can leave this one out. the action scenes are rather blur and i cant really see whats goin on until evryone on the set stops movin. also those who read the book will be left wondering how come the scenes were fast foward so quickly and so many parts left out =( oh well thats part of making a story into a movie...so many parts twisted and turned.

ok time for me to get to bed...nitez all

wait!!! tmr i goin vivo for the 1st time since it opened!! nemo said we goin there watch movie then go suntec dine hmmm sounds like a packed day to me, esp since it starts at 1pm, hopefully can end in time to catch the last bus, saved enough for a movie and the dinner but not enough for a cab-xi ride for sure >.<

oh well...time to go slp, its gettin late and i cant think of anythin left to do nitez all...

some issues i am pondering abt

hmmm...some issues just came to my mind, as in just a few seconds before i logged in to blogger...

is there a higher power? and if so, how can we be so sure? in the bible, many people died when God decided to flood the whole world, leaving noah and his closest family and friends left. also, there was another incident when fire was supposedly brought down from the heavens to destroy an entire town after God found it to be full of vile people, but there were women and children in there as well. none survived. so now y is it iraq isnt destroyed yet? and for most things we cant explain, we say it is a higher power. i mean y do people just brush off everything as a higher power when they dont understand them? ok there will be some people who protest, "do we have to explain the science behind everything? y cant we just leave some things be?" but then again, once science can explain a so called miracle, then the church says science is corrupting religion...hmmm is dat y the church hates science so much that they have to send "missionaries" to silence those scientists? "think the factorial part of the da vinci code."

old friends

yesterday was fun! met up with 2 sec school friends i have not seen in a long time - nicholas wong and hamza...nicholas has grown alot taller lolz, he's taller than me now, think it has sumthin to do with being in australia for 2 years >.< but he is still so cute ahahahahah ok i am not gay -.-'
hamza is still the same, it was easy to recognise him haha. 2 years and he hasnt changed one bit.

nicholas and i met @ plaza sing for lunch, but i was there so late that he ate with his family 1st...hey cant blame me, i was given short notice of the meeting. so by the time i reached there, his family was just about to leave. end up it was me eating and him staring at my food lolz...feel damn bad but hey, at least we talked and not stayed quiet throughout the meal.

after that, we wanted to catch a movie, but then the closest movie has already started screening and since we had the whole day free, we decided to wait for the nxt movie. it was then that nicholas (ok i will call him nicky now) told me that hamza was free but only in the evening.

it was then decided that we watch a movie with hamza at night. hamza agreed and we bought the tickets for the 3 of us. initially nicky footed the tickets, and i decided to pay him later that night together with hamza, but in the end, nicky told us he'd just treat us. to think that he told me he got only S$100 allowance for 3 weeks. S$100 will not even suffice for 2 weeks for me >.< then again he told me he stayed at home most of the time and doesnt spend a thing at home...so it doesnt really matter if he spent all the money that day cos he could just stay at home for the 3 weeks hehe

the movie decided upon by nicky and me was <>. at first i was reluctant to watch it cos it sounded abit childish, but then again i remembered gabriel said on sat when he ps me go watch with jq was that the movie was the best movie so far...hmmm i'll talk abt that later.

since our movie was in the evening, we decided to hitch a ride from nicky's mom back to his house to play abit. i must say though the games we played there were more for the whole family type of games. then again me not having any idea wat the games were lost in almost everyone of them lolz. but it was fun =)

soon it was time to head back to ps to meet hamza...at 1st we thought it was gonna be difficult to recognise him, but when we saw him, it was just too easy to spot him out. as i said earlier, he didnt change one bit. we met early, thus we had time to talk before going in. our conversation was abit funny. it was either hamza and me talking or hamza and nicky talking. well thats cos our conversation was on the subjects we studied, and hamza has studied maths, science and econs. and there is nicky who majors in science in uni...he is doing a one year pre-u in australia followed by a 4yr degree. since we dont study science in business school, well except for business science, it is either hamza and i talk about econs theories(wat i can rmb of them) or hamza and nicky talk about the super complex theories of particle theory, quantum physics bla bla bla...i hate science >.<

well the movie was a pleasant one, with all of us laughing from the middle of the movie right till the end. the directors made the movie good with their mixing of real life and cartoons inside. splendid...just splendid. actually i thought it was gonna be a boring movie at the start when all the characters did were sing and sing bits and pieces of classic hit songs from elvis and other old school stars. then came the story and it just got more and more interesting.

after the movie, i was feeling abit hungry and decided we go for dinner, then nicky, being in australia for too long, doubted we could find anything still open. hamza and i were like "oh c'mon!! this is orchard road!!" then again people in australia close shops at 5pm sharp so i understood him, abit, maybe he forgot singspore has a nightlife hehe.

after dinner at bk, i decided we go play some pool, ok my hands were itching to play pool, its addictive! nicky already has some experience in pool but hamza had totally no idea how to cue the ball. so i ended up teaching him for about 20min bafore he could cue the ball properly most of the time. hey thats fast already, it took me abt 3 pool sessions before i could hit the ball properly most of the time.

well by the time we left the pool area, it was 11.40pm already, time to catch the last bus for me and last train for the both of them. hamza and i decided that since nicky treat us to the movie, we would not share the pool cost with him. so we paid each other, said our gdbyes and left for home. whew, a tiring but fun day. my fingers are tired from typing this also haha so its time to sign out for now...cya peeps
